Fortune Cookie

I consider myself a fairly logical thinker and a deep one at that....maybe I've lost my edge - I don't know. But I ate this fortune cookie last night and this is what it said "Happiness is not a reward, it's a consequence".
I don't get it. Why don't I get it? Your thoughts please. And if I find out that this is really obvious and I truly am becoming dumb...then this blog will be deleted and will never be discussed again.
