Budha made my day!

Budha made my day!
Current mood:cheerful

Budha is just the greatest dog in the world. Today was her vet appointment. I was worried that maybe she had lost some weight. I mean - she went from being in one house with the same person for NINE years, granted I was there almost every day for 5 of them and took care while he was away...but still.... Now she's in a new home, she's lost her owner, there is another dog and two cats in this house, her yard is different, we're on the total opposite side of town...she's had to adjust a lot. And she's awesome!

So...her weight last time...42 pounds. Her weight this time...42.5!!!!! YEA!!!! And she did so well. She was so good at the vet, I was so proud of her!!! I think she may have even enjoyed herself. She's in good health. Then I took her for a walk in the east end and she loved it. But the best part....when we came home, I turned onto my street and she sat up and stuck her head out the window happily - she knew we were going to "her home". It's hard for me to write that because....it's just another 'permanent' I guess. But seeing her do that, and knowing that she's comfortable - it just made my day. I know that if Jon can see her, that he is proud as hell. It's another step forward.
